Meadville Paranormal (MPIT) has always been a team that looked out for its community. We have always been more than just a paranormal investigation team. Working to Help make the Community a place we all want to live, preserving its history for future generations. If we’re not out Cleaning up Mt. Blair Cemetery, we are out help doing events for Project Support our troops. We as a team in whole were hit with something that will not only affect us but should affect the entire community.
Fran is a member of the team that has been with us since the start. Her son Matt is one of the Jr. Investigators for the team. On August 27, 2011 Fran and Matt and family learned that he had Leukemia. He is currently undergoing Chemo in the hopes to win the battle against this. We learned the family will be making weekly trips to Pittsburgh for Matt to receive treatment. We as a team are trying to figure out a way to help. Having a sick child not only take a toll on a family but on financial resources as well. We are looking for any ideas from the community that supports us, to help Matt and his fight. We are open to suggestions, or if someone would like to help by giving gifts to be raffled off lets us know.
We just recently learned about a blood drive and marrow testing that will be held in Blooming Valley in honor of Matt:
There is a Bone Marrow Screening and Replenishment Blood Drive on September 22, 2011 at Blooming Valley Volunteer Fire Department, 15244 Mill Street, Saegertown, PA 16433. If you would like to donate, it starts at 2 pm and goes till 7 pm. You can be scheduled online at www.centralbloodbank.org using sponsor code ZRTN0853.
Please keep in mind that if you are on the fence in attending this event. That if you’re not a match for Matt that somewhere in the area is a child that is going through the fight of their life that you could be a match for and could help. We encourage everyone to go out and help the best they can!
September is childhood cancer awareness month as well as Leukemia awareness month. Every day in the USA we have 40 children diagnosed with cancer. Everyday someone's life is change drastically as they learn they are entering a fight for their lives! We hope that as a community we all get out and support Matt, Fran and there entire family as they continue this fight.
So sorry about the child. It's always a distress to hear of a child being this ill. Blessings to him, and the family!
ReplyDeleteSad to hear this news. Hold a spaghetti dinner in his honor to help raise money. The local fire department I am sure would help out by hosting a boot drive. God bless and my prayers are with the family.
